Bible Keyboard Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 15, 2026
Bible Keyboard is provided by Edify Chat (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled by the Bible Keyboard application and its keyboard extension (together, the “App”).
Bible Keyboard performs Scripture searches on your device. We do not collect your searches, typed text, saved passages, or keyboard activity. You do not need to create an account or provide personal information to use the App.
On-device processing and storage
The App processes search queries locally, including searches that use its on-device machine learning model. Your queries are not sent to us, a search service, or an external artificial intelligence provider.
When you activate the keyboard, it may use selected text or nearby text that iOS makes available from the app you are typing in to prepare a Scripture search or insert a passage. This text is processed on your device. We do not receive it, and the App does not save it as a typing or search history.
To provide its features, the App stores information locally, including:
- Your settings and selected Bible translation.
- References to recent and favorite passages.
- Setup preferences.
- Your remaining free insertion allowance and whether paid features are unlocked.
Recent and favorite passage records contain Bible passage references rather than copies of your search queries or messages. The App and keyboard may share settings, Bible content, and unlock status through storage on your device. We cannot remotely access this information.
Keyboard Full Access
Full Access is optional. Scripture search and insertion work without enabling it.
If you enable Full Access, the keyboard can support additional on-device features, such as haptic feedback and sharing keyboard setting changes with the containing app. The keyboard does not make network requests or transmit your typing, searches, or saved passages, whether Full Access is enabled or disabled.
You can change this permission or remove the keyboard in Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Bible Keyboard.
Apple services and purchases
Apple handles App Store downloads, payments, purchase restoration, and related account services. Apple processes information for those services under its own privacy policies. We do not receive your payment card details, Apple Account password, or billing information through the App.
The App uses Apple’s StoreKit framework to verify purchases and determine whether paid features should be available. This verification is handled on your device using information supplied by Apple; the App does not send purchase records to a server operated by us.
Apple may provide us with sales reports and aggregate App Store statistics. Depending on your device’s sharing settings, Apple may also provide crash reports and app usage diagnostics. We use these reports to understand sales and improve the App’s reliability.
For more information, see App Store and Privacy and App Analytics and Privacy. You can manage diagnostic sharing in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Advertising, tracking, and sharing
The App contains no advertising, advertising trackers, third-party analytics SDKs, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites or build advertising profiles from your activity. Because the App does not perform this tracking, Do Not Track and similar privacy preference signals do not change its behavior.
When you insert text into another app, that app handles the inserted text according to its own privacy practices. Bible Keyboard does not control how other apps store, transmit, or use text you choose to enter.
Retention and deletion
Locally saved settings, passage references, and usage counters remain on your device until removed or until the App’s data is deleted.
To remove the App and its locally stored data, use Delete App in iOS Settings. Choosing Offload App preserves app data. Removing the keyboard alone does not delete the containing app’s data.
Device backups may retain copies of some app data, depending on your backup settings. Backups and Apple’s purchase records are managed separately by Apple. Deleting the App does not delete Apple’s transaction records.
We do not hold server copies of your searches, keyboard text, or saved passages, so there are no copies of that information for us to retrieve or delete.
Information you voluntarily send us
If you contact us for support or with a privacy question, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include. This correspondence is separate from the App’s local processing.
We use that information to respond, resolve your request, and meet applicable legal obligations. Our email service provider processes correspondence to deliver and store messages. We retain correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes or as required by law. We do not use it for advertising or sell it.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have sent us by contacting the address below. We will respond as required by applicable law. Please avoid sending passwords, payment details, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Children’s privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Its on-device processing and absence of advertising and tracking apply to all users.
If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support correspondence, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will publish any changes to this Privacy Policy here and update the effective date. If a future change introduces personal information collection, we will provide any additional notice and obtain any consent required by law before that collection begins.
