How do I enable Bible Keyboard?
Open the Bible Keyboard app and follow the setup guide. Tap Go to Settings, choose Keyboards, and turn on Bible Keyboard.
You can also open iOS Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard… and choose Bible Keyboard. Then open an app where you can type and use the globe key to switch to Bible Keyboard.
To see the guide again, open Settings in the Bible Keyboard app and tap Keyboard setup guide.
How do I find and insert a verse?
Switch to Bible Keyboard, tap the verse search field, and type a phrase or topic. Tap Search, then tap a result to insert the passage into the app you are using.
Do I need to enable Allow Full Access?
No. Settings, Scripture search, and verse insertion work without Allow Full Access. Full Access is optional and enables additional features such as haptic feedback and syncing keyboard setting changes back to the Bible Keyboard app.
The keyboard does not send your typing or searches over the network, whether Full Access is enabled or disabled.
Does Bible Keyboard work offline?
Yes. Verse searches run on your device, and installed translations are available offline. You need an internet connection to download additional translations or complete and restore purchases.
What is included for free?
The free version includes unlimited verse searches, the Berean Standard Bible (BSB) and King James Version (KJV), and 30 verse insertions. One insertion shares one passage, including any verses you select together.
After you use the free insertions, you can keep searching. A one-time purchase unlocks unlimited insertions, Recents, Favorites, and all available translations. There is no subscription or Bible Keyboard account to create. You can unlock from Settings in the Bible Keyboard app.
How do I add or change translations?
Open the Bible Keyboard app to browse available translations and download the ones you want. Additional translations require the one-time unlock. Once a download finishes, choose your translation under Settings → Translation. App setting changes apply when you next open the keyboard.
How do I restore my unlock?
Open Settings in the Bible Keyboard app and tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account that made the original purchase and make sure you are connected to the internet.
If the unlock is unavailable, try again later. If restoring still does not find your purchase, email help@edify.chat with the message shown in the app.
How do I change the citation included with a verse?
Open Settings in the app or keyboard. Use Include citation and Include version abbreviation to choose what is inserted with a passage. The preview shows how your selection will look.
Are my searches and messages private?
Scripture searches are processed on your device. We do not collect your searches, typed text, saved passages, or keyboard activity. Read our privacy policy for details, including how support emails and Apple services are handled.
